Been there, done that, too many times in too many places. Or just enough, because I've learned what really matters. I had thought I knew how things were supposed to be. I didn't. The fog is clearing now. To have real value requires living a real life. Simple,...not easy. But worth it. 'Oorah!
And the simple beauty of an unruffled flower. In my two days in the desert I was awed, astounded, and deeply humbled. I returned home more at peace with myself, and ready to make peace with my world.

I've been on the planet awhile. I have a short list of Favorites (my Jeep, my dog, a few good friends, some family, baked acorn squash with real butter), and a long list of things I just won't stand for. I don't care much for pretense, I don't impress easily, and I ask hard questions. But then LIFE asks hard questions. Go figure. I enjoy real beauty, and I find beauty in some of the strangest places. I appreciate courage, and a really good laugh.
